Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing that can last for years. Tiny dots of pure, natural pigment are inserted using a digital device (or a handheld blade for microbladed brows) into the skin to give an effect that mimics the appearance of natural looking brows and makeup. Helen is highly trained and uses the leading technology to create outstanding and long lasting results.
How long your Permanent Makeup lasts depends on a number of factors including how fair or dark you are, your general lifestyle, skin type and sun exposure. Some skin types retain pigments better than others, requiring fewer retouches. However most people require a colour booster (refresher) every 1-2 years to maintain the results. Many results fade to barely visible after a few years and some hold on to it for a long time. Each area treated is tailored to you and is buildable - from a very natural enhancement to a more bold look. Saving time on makeup application - giving a glamour and youthful look.
New treatments usually take up aprox two hours and are arranged in two stages, spaced between four to twelve weeks apart, allowing for a safe, comfortable and gradual enhancement. Without your refresher treatment the colour will gradually fade away over time.
How long does Permanent Make-Up last?
The length of which Permanent Make-Up lasts depends on many factors; such as the method of which it is tattooed and the clients own body and lifestyle. Cosmetic Tattoo Brows last 2-4 years, Microblading lasts 1-2 years. Lips fade over time but can be visable for many years. Eyeliner will fade and breakdown over years whilst some will be visable for ever, typically needs a booster every 1-2 years. The pigment is in the skin permanently but the colour lightens to make it barely visable after many years.
Can you have Permanent Make-up done whilst pregnant and/or breast feeding?
No you will need to wait until your not breast feeding anymore.
Am I suitable for permanent makeup?
Most people are suitable for some form of Permanent Makeup. Before coming to the clinic you will be asked to fill in consultation form and medical questionnaire to help understand your suitability. On the day in the clinic Helen will explore with you which treatments will suit you best. This is a one-to-one consultation and includes a discussion of your desired results and expectations and any features you wish to enhance or balance. From this discussion, Helen will recommend and design your enhancement.

How long are the appointments?

Can I have my eyebrows corrected if someone else did a bad job?
There are some occasions where Helen is able to re do brows done by someone else, this is only possible where then are no strange colours ie purple, grey, blue, green, pink or red etc, if the brows haven’t been wrongly shaped ie unsymmetrical, too high, too low, too thick, or if the colour is not too saturated ie. a block of colour.
The majority of the time the brow would need to be removed via laser tattoo removal and then re done fresh. The benefits of this is that any old bad discoloured tattoos will be removed and will not distort any new colours and tattoos being done.
